Misartan 40mg Tablet is a prescription-only medication containing telmisartan 40mg as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, including isolated hypertension and hypertension in combination with other cardiovascular risk factors. Misartan 40mg Tablet is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict and blood pressure to rise. It is recommended for use in adult patients, including those with type 2 diabetes and/or chronic kidney disease, with or without heart failure. Special precautions are recommended in patients with severe kidney impairment, mild to moderate kidney impairment, and patients with a history of angioedema.
