Melanorm-MS Cream is a topical formulation containing Hydroquinone (2% w/w), Mometasone Furoate (0.1% w/w), and Tretinoin (0.025% w/w), designed for the treatment of hyperpigmentation disorders such as melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other pigmentary abnormalities. Hydroquinone acts as a skin-lightening agent by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme critical in melanin synthesis, thereby reducing excessive pigmentation. Mometasone Furoate, a potent corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, helping to reduce erythema, edema, and irritation associated with pigmentary conditions. Tretinoin, a retinoid derivative, promotes epidermal cell turnover and enhances the penetration of hydroquinone, facilitating the removal of pigmented keratinocytes and improving skin texture. The combination of these active ingredients offers a synergistic approach to effectively lighten dark patches and restore an even skin tone.
