Mefniwel P 500mg/325mg Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Mefenamic Acid 500mg and Paracetamol 325mg. Mefenamic Acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of the prostaglandin synthesis pathway in the central nervous system. This combination is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain associated with conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and postoperative pain.
