Luliconazole exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Medole Cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes including Trichophyton species, as well as Candida albicans and Malassezia species. The cream formulation allows for targeted application to affected skin areas, promoting rapid symptom relief including reduction of itching, redness, and scaling. It is typically applied once daily to the cleaned and dried lesion for a duration prescribed by the healthcare provider, usually ranging from 1 to 2 weeks depending on the infection type and severity. Medole Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild local adverse reactions such as burning sensation, irritation, or erythema may occur. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Luliconazole or any cream excipients. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision.
