Medac-P Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Medac-P Tablet is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries. It is also effective in alleviating postoperative pain and dental pain. The combination offers enhanced analgesic efficacy by targeting multiple pain pathways while minimizing the dose-related adverse effects associated with higher doses of individual agents. Medac-P should be used with caution in patients with hepatic, renal, or cardiovascular impairments and is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol, or other NSAIDs. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and hypersensitivity reactions.
