Silodosin, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, acts by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bladder neck and prostate, thereby improving urine flow and reducing bladder outlet obstruction. Solifenacin, an antimuscarinic agent, helps to alleviate symptoms of overactive bladder such as urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence by inhibiting muscarinic receptors in the detrusor muscle, reducing involuntary bladder contractions. The combined action of Silodosin and Solifenacin provides a synergistic effect, addressing both obstructive and irritative urinary symptoms commonly experienced in BPH patients.
