About This Medicine

Product description & overview

Lysoflam Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Diclofenac 50 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Trypsin Chymotrypsin 50,000 AU. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol complements this action by providing effective analgesia and antipyresis through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis without significant anti-inflammatory activity. Trypsin Chymotrypsin, a proteolytic enzyme combination, facilitates the reduction of inflammation and edema by promoting the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and fibrin deposits, enhancing tissue repair and recovery. Lysoflam is indicated for the management of acute musculoskeletal pain, postoperative inflammation, soft tissue injuries, and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and tendinitis. The synergistic action of these components provides rapid relief from pain and inflammation while supporting tissue healing. It is recommended to use Lysoflam under medical supervision, considering contraindications such as hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, active gastrointestinal ulcers, or bleeding disorders. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, allergic reactions, or mild enzyme-related side effects.

About Paracetamol

Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic medication commonly used to alleviate mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It is effective for various types of pain, including headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and menstrual cramps. By inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain, Paracetamol reduces pain perception and lowers body temperature by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center. This widely used over-the-counter medication is generally well-tolerated and provides effective relief from discomfort. In simple terms, Paracetamol is a go-to remedy for pain and fever.

How It Works

Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.
