Luriv Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin. Luliconazole exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Luriv Cream is primarily used in the management of dermatophytosis, including tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis, as well as candidal infections of the skin. The formulation is designed for once-daily application, providing convenience and enhancing patient compliance. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in resolving symptoms such as itching, scaling, and erythema associated with fungal infections, typically within two weeks of treatment. Luriv Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild local reactions such as burning, stinging, or erythema may occur. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any cream excipients. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be considered only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or infant. Luriv Cream should be applied to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
