Lupisit DM 10mg/1000mg/100mg Tablet ER is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Dapagliflozin 10mg, Metformin 1000mg, and Sitagliptin 100mg, formulated as an extended-release tablet. This fixed-dose combination is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in patients inadequately controlled on monotherapy or dual therapy. Dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, reduces renal glucose reabsorption, promoting glycosuria and thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Metformin, a biguanide, primarily decreases hepatic gluconeogenesis and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity, contributing to enhanced glycemic control.
