Luly Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an antifungal agent belonging to the imidazole class, indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. This cream is effective against dermatophytes including Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Epidermophyton floccosum, as well as Candida species. Luly Cream is intended for external use only and should be applied once daily to the affected area after cleansing and drying the skin. The duration of treatment varies depending on the infection type, typically ranging from one to two weeks for candidiasis and up to four weeks for dermatophytosis. Common adverse effects are generally mild and may include local irritation, burning sensation, or erythema at the application site. Luly Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any cream excipients. It is not recommended for use on mucous membranes or in pediatric patients under 12 years of age unless directed by a healthcare professional.
