Lulizol Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. This cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. Lulizol Cream is intended for external use and should be applied once daily to the affected area after cleansing and drying the skin. The duration of treatment varies depending on the infection type but generally ranges from one to two weeks. Common adverse effects are mild and may include local irritation, burning sensation, or erythema at the application site. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Luliconazole or any cream excipients. Caution is advised when used on large areas or broken skin. Lulizol Cream is not recommended for use in pediatric patients below the age of 12 without medical supervision. Patients should avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
