Luliz Lotion contains Luliconazole 1% w/v, an imidazole antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exerts its antifungal activity by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. This lotion formulation is intended for external use and is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes including Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, as well as yeasts like Candida species. Luliz Lotion is typically applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, continuing the treatment for the prescribed duration to ensure complete eradication of the infection and prevent recurrence. It is well tolerated with minimal systemic absorption, reducing the risk of systemic side effects. Common adverse reactions may include mild local irritation, burning sensation, or erythema at the application site.
