About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Lulilok Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a topical antifungal agent belonging to the imidazole class, indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin. Luliconazole exhibits potent antifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. This cream is primarily prescribed for conditions such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis caused by susceptible strains of Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, and Microsporum species. The formulation ensures effective skin penetration and sustained antifungal action with once-daily application. Lulilok Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild local adverse effects such as burning sensation, itching, or erythema may occur. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Luliconazole or any other components of the formulation. Usage during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision. For optimal results, the cream should be applied to the affected area and surrounding skin once daily for the duration prescribed by a healthcare professional, typically ranging from one to two weeks depending on the infection severity. Proper adherence to treatment is essential to prevent recurrence and ensure complete eradication of the fungal infection.
