Lulicare Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a topical antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of superficial dermatophytic infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis. Luliconazole belongs to the azole class of antifungals and exerts its effect by inhibiting the fungal enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase, which is essential for ergosterol synthesis, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption leads to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. Lulicare Cream is applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin, ensuring the area is clean and dry prior to application. The duration of therapy typically ranges from one to two weeks depending on the infection type and clinical response. It is well tolerated, with minimal adverse effects; however, mild local reactions such as burning, itching, or irritation may occur. Lulicare Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any of the cream’s excipients. It is not intended for systemic fungal infections or use on mucous membranes. Proper adherence to the prescribed treatment course is essential to prevent recurrence and resistance.
