About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Lulibet Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a topical antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole belongs to the azole class of antifungals and exerts its effect by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. This cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes such as Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, as well as yeasts like Candida species and Malassezia furfur. Lulibet Cream is typically applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, ensuring complete coverage. The duration of therapy varies depending on the infection type but generally ranges from one to four weeks. It is well tolerated with minimal adverse effects, the most common being mild local irritation, burning sensation, or erythema at the application site. Lulibet Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or other azole antifungals. It is not recommended for use on mucous membranes or in the eyes. Proper adherence to the prescribed regimen is essential to ensure complete resolution and prevent recurrence.
