About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Lucimac Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals and exhibits broad-spectrum activity by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Lucimac Cream is effective against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton species, as well as yeasts including Candida species and Malassezia furfur. The cream is intended for external use and should be applied once daily to the affected area after cleansing and drying the skin. Treatment duration typically ranges from 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the type and severity of infection, but should be continued as prescribed to prevent recurrence. Lucimac Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild local adverse reactions such as burning, itching, or irritation may occur. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Luliconazole or any cream excipients. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision. Proper adherence to treatment and hygiene measures is essential to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
