Lu-Fungee Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a potent antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as dermatophytosis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis. Luliconazole, an imidazole derivative, exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. Lu-Fungee Cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds, including Trichophyton species, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Candida albicans. The cream formulation ensures enhanced skin penetration and prolonged retention at the site of infection, providing sustained antifungal activity. It is typically applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, usually for a duration of 2 to 4 weeks depending on the severity and type of infection. Lu-Fungee Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild local adverse effects such as burning sensation, itching, or erythema may occur.
