Lostat 25mg Tablet contains Losartan potassium, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist used primarily for the management of hypertension. By selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, Losartan promotes vasodilation, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure. This mechanism helps prevent complications associated with hypertension, such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and renal impairment. Lostat 25mg is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults and may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
