Loprazam Plus Tablet is a combination medication containing Clonazepam (0.25 mg) and Escitalopram Oxalate (10 mg), primarily indicated for the management of anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and depressive symptoms associated with anxiety. Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine, exerts its therapeutic effect by enhancing the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, thereby producing anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant properties. Escitalopram Oxalate, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), increases serotonin levels in the synaptic cleft by inhibiting its reuptake, contributing to improved mood and reduced anxiety. The combination of these agents provides both rapid symptomatic relief through Clonazepam and sustained antidepressant and anxiolytic effects via Escitalopram. Loprazam Plus is prescribed under medical supervision, with dosage tailored to individual patient needs, considering potential side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, and risk of dependence associated with benzodiazepines.
