Liralin-DP Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Dapagliflozin 10mg and Linagliptin 5mg, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, promotes renal glucose excretion by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the proximal renal tubules, thereby reducing plasma glucose levels independently of insulin secretion. Linagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, enhances incretin hormone activity, increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. The combined mechanism of action offers improved glycemic control by targeting complementary pathways involved in glucose homeostasis. Liralin-DP is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially in patients inadequately controlled with monotherapy.
