Liator-Asp Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Atorvastatin 10 mg and Aspirin 75 mg, indicated for the management of cardiovascular risk in patients with hyperlipidemia and a history of or risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Atorvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol by inhibiting the rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis, thereby reducing the progression of atherosclerosis. Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), leading to decreased thromboxane A2 production and subsequent inhibition of platelet aggregation, which helps prevent thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke. The combination of these agents provides a synergistic effect in reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in high-risk patients. Liator-Asp Capsule should be administered once daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Caution is advised in patients with a history of bleeding disorders, peptic ulcer disease, or hepatic impairment. Regular monitoring of lipid profiles, liver function tests, and signs of bleeding is recommended during therapy. This combination therapy should be used under medical supervision as part of a comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction strategy including lifestyle modifications.
