Trifluoperazine, a typical antipsychotic of the phenothiazine class, primarily acts as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, helping to alleviate symptoms of schizophrenia, psychosis, and severe anxiety states. The combination therapy in Kizide Tablet is particularly beneficial in patients presenting with anxiety accompanied by psychotic features or agitation. It is indicated for short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, as well as for the treatment of psychotic disorders where both anxiolytic and antipsychotic effects are desired.
