Kiasita 100 Tablet contains Sitagliptin 100 mg, a potent oral antihyperglycemic agent used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Sitagliptin belongs to the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class, which enhances the body's natural ability to regulate blood glucose by increasing the levels of incretin hormones. These hormones stimulate insulin release from pancreatic beta cells and decrease glucagon secretion from alpha cells, thereby improving glycemic control. Kiasita 100 is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin. It is not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. The recommended dose is 100 mg once daily, with or without food.
