About This Medicine

Product description & overview

Ketosel-CT Cream is a multi-ingredient topical formulation combining Ketoconazole (2% w/w), Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) (1.0% w/w), Tolnaftate (1.0% w/w), Neomycin (0.1% w/w), and Clobetasol (0.05% w/w) designed for the effective management of mixed fungal and bacterial skin infections accompanied by inflammatory symptoms. Ketoconazole and Tolnaftate provide broad-spectrum antifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds, while Clioquinol exhibits antimicrobial properties targeting bacterial and fungal pathogens. Neomycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, enhances antibacterial efficacy against susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Clobetasol, a potent corticosteroid, addresses inflammation, pruritus, and erythema associated with dermatoses. This combination cream is indicated for conditions such as tinea infections complicated by secondary bacterial colonization and inflammatory dermatoses requiring both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory treatment. Ketosel-CT Cream should be applied topically to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Caution is advised in prolonged use due to potential corticosteroid-related side effects. It is contraindicated in viral skin infections and hypersensitivity to any component. Proper medical evaluation is recommended before initiation to ensure appropriate use and to minimize adverse effects.
