About This Medicine
Product description & overview

Ketoblink B Cream is a topical pharmaceutical formulation containing Beclometasone dipropionate (0.025% w/w), a potent corticosteroid, combined with Ketoconazole (2% w/w), an antifungal agent. This combination is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses complicated by or associated with fungal infections, such as seborrheic dermatitis, tinea corporis, and other superficial mycoses with inflammatory components. Beclometasone exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching. Ketoconazole acts by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and fungal cell death. Ketoblink B Cream is intended for topical application to the affected skin areas, typically used twice daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Caution is advised when using corticosteroids to avoid prolonged use or application on large body surface areas to minimize systemic absorption and potential side effects such as skin atrophy or hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Patients should avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and discontinue use if irritation or sensitization occurs.
