Jupiros EZ 10mg/10mg Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering agent containing Rosuvastatin 10mg and Ezetimibe 10mg, indicated for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to decreased levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol, while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Ezetimibe acts by selectively inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol at the intestinal brush border, further reducing the delivery of intestinal cholesterol to the liver.
