Jolvig Oral Solution contains Vigabatrin 500 mg, an antiepileptic agent used primarily for the treatment of refractory complex partial seizures and infantile spasms. Vigabatrin acts by irreversibly inhibiting gamma-aminobutyric acid transaminase (GABA-T), leading to increased levels of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA in the brain, thereby reducing neuronal excitability and seizure activity. Jolvig is indicated for patients who have not responded adequately to other antiepileptic medications.
