Jekroz-F Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering agent containing Fenofibrate 160 mg and Rosuvastatin 10 mg, indicated for the management of dyslipidemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, primarily reduces triglyceride levels by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which enhances lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to significant reductions in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and modest increases in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). The combination therapy is particularly beneficial in patients with persistent hypertriglyceridemia and elevated LDL-C levels who require simultaneous management of multiple lipid parameters. Jekroz-F is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and lifestyle modifications including exercise, weight control, and smoking cessation. It is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, severe renal impairment, or hypersensitivity to either component.
