Tofacitinib selectively inhibits JAK enzymes involved in the signaling pathways that mediate immune cell function and inflammatory responses, thereby reducing inflammation and keratinocyte hyperproliferation characteristic of psoriatic lesions. Jakauto Gel is applied directly to affected skin areas, allowing localized action with minimal systemic absorption, which may reduce the risk of systemic adverse effects commonly associated with oral JAK inhibitors.
