About This Medicine
Product description & overview
J-Ring Tablet contains Teneligliptin 20 mg, a potent and selective dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. By inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, Teneligliptin enhances the levels of incretin hormones, which increase insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner and decrease glucagon secretion, thereby improving glycemic control. J-Ring Tablet is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic parameters in adult patients inadequately controlled on monotherapy or combination therapy with other oral antidiabetic agents. The medication is well tolerated, with a low risk of hypoglycemia when used as monotherapy or in combination with agents not associated with hypoglycemia. It is administered orally, typically once daily, with or without food. Dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment. Common adverse effects include nasopharyngitis, headache, and gastrointestinal disturbances; however, the overall safety profile is favorable. J-Ring Tablet should be used cautiously in patients with a history of pancreatitis and is contraindicated in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Regular monitoring of blood glucose and renal function is recommended during therapy to ensure optimal efficacy and safety.
