Iondan Injection contains Ondansetron 2 mg/ml, a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and postoperative conditions. Ondansetron acts by blocking serotonin receptors centrally in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and peripherally in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby inhibiting the emetic signals. Iondan Injection is administered intravenously or intramuscularly, providing rapid onset of action and effective control of acute emesis.
