About This Medicine

Product description & overview

IBU-C Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of the prostaglandin synthesis pathway in the central nervous system. The synergistic effect of these two active ingredients provides effective relief from mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries. IBU-C Tablet is also indicated for the management of postoperative pain and dental pain. It is generally well tolerated when used as directed; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disease. The medication should be taken with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol, or other NSAIDs, and use during the third trimester of pregnancy. Patients should adhere to the prescribed dosage and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or adverse effects occur.

About Aceclofenac

Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It works by blocking the COX enzymes responsible for producing prostaglandins, which mediate pain and inflammation. Aceclofenac is effective in reducing symptoms and improving joint function. In summary, Aceclofenac is beneficial in managing pain and inflammation in various arthritic conditions.

How It Works

Aceclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
