IB Statin-AC 10 Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Aspirin (75 mg), Rosuvastatin (10 mg), and Clopidogrel (75 mg), designed for the management and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), thereby reducing thromboxane A2 production and platelet aggregation, which helps prevent arterial thrombosis. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol levels, contributing to the reduction of atherosclerotic plaque progression. Clopidogrel, another antiplatelet agent, selectively inhibits the ADP P2Y12 receptor on platelets, preventing platelet activation and aggregation. The combined action of these agents provides a synergistic effect in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and other thrombotic cardiovascular events in patients with established coronary artery disease or those at high risk. IB Statin-AC 10 Capsule is indicated for secondary prevention in patients with acute coronary syndrome, stable angina, or post-percutaneous coronary intervention. It should be used under medical supervision, with monitoring for potential adverse effects such as bleeding, myopathy, or hepatic dysfunction. Contraindications include active bleeding, hypersensitivity to components, and severe liver impairment.
