It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and heart failure, as well as for the prevention of myocardial infarction and management of arrhythmias. Metoprolol Succinate works by selectively blocking beta-1 receptors in the heart, leading to a reduction in heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, thereby decreasing oxygen demand and lowering blood pressure.
