Tapentadol acts centrally by binding to μ-opioid receptors and inhibiting norepinephrine reuptake, providing dual mechanisms for analgesia. The extended-release formulation ensures sustained plasma concentrations, enabling consistent pain control over a 12-hour dosing interval, thereby improving patient compliance and minimizing fluctuations in pain relief. Hitap-ER 100 is contraindicated in patients with significant respiratory depression, acute or severe bronchial asthma, paralytic ileus, or known hypersensitivity to Tapentadol or any excipients.
