HI-Cobal Injection contains Methylcobalamin 2500 mcg/ml, a biologically active form of vitamin B12 essential for neurological function and hematopoiesis. This injectable formulation is indicated for the treatment and prevention of vitamin B12 deficiency, which may result from conditions such as pernicious anemia, malabsorption syndromes, chronic alcoholism, and certain neurological disorders. Methylcobalamin plays a critical role in DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, and the maintenance of myelin sheath integrity, thereby supporting nerve regeneration and repair. HI-Cobal Injection is administered intramuscularly or intravenously, allowing for rapid absorption and bioavailability, making it suitable for patients with impaired gastrointestinal absorption of vitamin B12. Clinical use includes management of peripheral neuropathies, subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord, and other neuropathic conditions associated with B12 deficiency. The dosage and duration of therapy should be individualized based on the severity of deficiency and clinical response. HI-Cobal Injection is generally well tolerated; however, hypersensitivity reactions may occur rarely.
