Herifen-SP Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 15 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol complements this action by providing effective analgesia and antipyresis through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, with minimal anti-inflammatory activity. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, enhances the anti-inflammatory effect by breaking down inflammatory mediators and promoting the resolution of edema and pain. This combination is indicated for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries such as sprains, strains, and post-operative inflammation. Herifen-SP Tablet offers rapid and sustained relief from pain, swelling, and inflammation, improving patient mobility and quality of life.
