Hepanext 150 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid 150 mg, a hydrophilic bile acid used primarily for the treatment of various hepatobiliary disorders. Ursodeoxycholic Acid acts by reducing the cholesterol saturation of bile and improving bile flow, thereby facilitating the dissolution of cholesterol gallstones and preventing their formation. It is also indicated in the management of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), where it helps to improve liver function by protecting cholangiocytes against cytotoxicity of hydrophobic bile acids, stimulating hepatobiliary secretion, and exerting immunomodulatory effects. Hepanext 150 is prescribed to patients with non-calcified cholesterol gallstones who are symptomatic but unsuitable for surgical intervention, as well as those with chronic cholestatic liver diseases. The usual dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific indication and patient response, and therapy should be initiated under medical supervision with periodic monitoring of liver function tests.
