Halobetasol, a potent corticosteroid, exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines and mediators, thereby reducing erythema, edema, and itching. Salicylic Acid, a keratolytic agent, facilitates the removal of scales and promotes exfoliation by softening and loosening the stratum corneum, enhancing the penetration and efficacy of the corticosteroid component. Halosys-S Lotion is indicated for the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, and other steroid-responsive dermatoses characterized by thickened, scaly plaques. The lotion base ensures easy application and rapid absorption without leaving greasy residues. It is recommended for short-term use under medical supervision due to the potential for corticosteroid-related adverse effects, including skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression if used excessively or on large surface areas.
