Halobik-F Cream is a topical formulation combining Halobetasol propionate (0.5 mg) and Fusidic Acid (20 mg) per gram, designed for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious dermatological conditions. Halobetasol, a potent corticosteroid, exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by modulating the immune response and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators. Fusidic Acid, a bacteriostatic antibiotic, effectively targets Gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus, by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. The synergistic action of these two agents makes Halobik-F Cream suitable for managing corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by secondary bacterial infections, such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis with superimposed bacterial colonization. It is intended for topical use only and should be applied sparingly to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Prolonged use or application over large surface areas should be avoided to minimize the risk of systemic absorption and adverse effects. Patients should be advised to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Halobik-F Cream is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or tubercular skin infections unless combined with appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
