Aspirin acts as an antiplatelet agent by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), thereby reducing thromboxane A2 synthesis and platelet aggregation. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and exerts pleiotropic effects including improvement of endothelial function and stabilization of atherosclerotic plaques. Clopidogrel is a thienopyridine antiplatelet agent that selectively inhibits the ADP receptor on platelet cell membranes, preventing platelet activation and aggregation.
