About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Genflam-SP 50mg/325mg/10mg Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Diclofenac sodium 50mg, Paracetamol 325mg, and Serratiopeptidase 10mg. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic action through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing Diclofenac’s peripheral effects. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and promotes the resolution of edema and inflammation. This combination is indicated for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, and soft tissue injuries. Genflam-SP offers rapid and sustained relief from pain and inflammation while reducing swelling and enhancing tissue healing. It is typically administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored to the severity of symptoms and patient response. Caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers, renal or hepatic impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants should be avoided. Regular monitoring is recommended during prolonged therapy to minimize adverse effects.

About Paracetamol
Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic medication commonly used to alleviate mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It is effective for various types of pain, including headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and menstrual cramps. By inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain, Paracetamol reduces pain perception and lowers body temperature by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center. This widely used over-the-counter medication is generally well-tolerated and provides effective relief from discomfort. In simple terms, Paracetamol is a go-to remedy for pain and fever.
How It Works
Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.
All Active Ingredients
Diclofenac
Diclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which mediate pain and inflammation.
Serratiopeptidase
Serratiopeptidase acts as a proteolytic enzyme, breaking down fibrin and other proteins involved in inflammation, thereby reducing pain and swelling.
