Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant, works by stabilizing electrical nerve activity in the brain and reducing abnormal excitement, thereby alleviating nerve pain and preventing seizures. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, enhances the effect of neurotransmitters in the nervous system, which helps improve mood and also provides pain relief by modulating nerve signals. Together, these active ingredients offer a synergistic effect for treating conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and chronic nerve pain that is resistant to other treatments. Gabaraksh-NT is also sometimes prescribed off-label for anxiety and certain types of depression due to Nortriptyline’s antidepressant properties. The tablet should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional, usually once or twice daily, with or without food.
