Eriloop-Plus 10 Tablet is a combination medication containing Spironolactone 10 mg and Torasemide 50 mg, primarily indicated for the management of edema associated with congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. Spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic and aldosterone antagonist, acts by inhibiting aldosterone receptors in the distal renal tubules, promoting sodium and water excretion while conserving potassium. Torasemide, a loop diuretic, inhibits sodium and chloride reabsorption in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, resulting in potent diuresis and reduction of fluid overload. The synergistic action of these agents effectively reduces edema and controls hypertension by decreasing plasma volume and peripheral vascular resistance. Eriloop-Plus 10 is particularly beneficial in patients requiring both potassium-sparing and loop diuretic effects to minimize electrolyte imbalances commonly associated with diuretic therapy. It should be used under medical supervision with periodic monitoring of electrolytes, renal function, and blood pressure to avoid adverse effects such as hyperkalemia, dehydration, or renal impairment.
