Enzyl 80 Capsule contains Enzalutamide 80 mg, an androgen receptor inhibitor indicated primarily for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Enzalutamide functions by competitively inhibiting androgen binding to androgen receptors, preventing receptor nuclear translocation, and impeding DNA binding and coactivator recruitment, thereby reducing androgen receptor signaling crucial for prostate cancer cell proliferation and survival. This mechanism results in decreased tumor growth and progression. Enzyl 80 is administered orally, typically once daily, and is often prescribed in conjunction with androgen deprivation therapy to enhance therapeutic efficacy. Clinical trials have demonstrated that Enzalutamide significantly improves radiographic progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with mCRPC. Common adverse effects include fatigue, hypertension, hot flashes, headache, and musculoskeletal pain, while serious but less frequent events may involve seizures and cardiovascular complications. Caution is advised in patients with a history of seizures or cardiovascular disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary in hepatic impairment.
